My Philosophy

My philosophy is best described by Sun Tzu
(also used in "The Godfather"):

"Keep your friends close but your enemies closer"

So, I tell my clients:

"Keep your strengths close but your weaknesses closer"

Living at the behest of triggers and unhealthy patterns are weaknesses.
These allow people to take advantage of you in all parts of your life.
 
Knowing and managing these will put you in charge in life.

Criteria & Information

These programs are not for you if:
~ You are under 21.
~You are overly sensitive, aren't fully committed to achieving your goals or make excuses.

There are *NO REFUNDS*  The Coaching Refund Policy can be found here.
~Due to the time spent creating your personal program, etc., refunds are not offered.  If you are a resident of the European Union (EU), you have the right to cancel the Program Contract within a period of 14 days beginning with the day after the purchase.  This request must be made in writing via email.
~I do not offer discounts.  This investment is based on my expertise and experience.  If you are looking for free or low-cost services, please search Google.
~I limit the number of clients I work with so I can better focus on your personal program.
~Also, I do not accept everyone who is interested in these services.  We need to be able to work together or it will be a waste of time for both of us.
~To that end, I suggest you schedule a free 30 minute session at

~My business hours are: Monday to Friday from 8am EST - 6pm EST. We can work something out if you are in a different time zone.
~I reply to inquiries (or questions during the program) within 24 hours - during business hours to serious and appropriate inquiries.

Once you have chosen your program and payment is confirmed, I will send you the New Client Documents to fill out plus the next steps.

Your Investment

This is a significant investment.  One reason is that the payment for the program is upfront. You are also making a tremendous commitment to yourself.  Basically, you're putting your money where your mouth is!

Payment plans/discounts are not available and here's why: I feel that these CouchIssues™ programs fall into the category of “nice-to-have” not “must-have". So, like with any high-ticket item, it needs to fit your budget.  As I've written, there are very good coaching or psychotherapeutic services that are far less costly than mine.

 

If you can and do want to address your CouchIssues™ to get a handle on them before they cause anymore interruptions in your life, then this is for you.  Instead of going to therapy, once a week - for an hour for a year (or more), you can rein in the CouchIssues™ in 3 or 6 months with an abundance of extra support.  You get 2 - 60 minute sessions per week, 3 emails to use as extra support, a Personal Journey Plan that we will work from and, at the end, a summary of what we have worked on for you to refer to.  You can also have a Tarot reading at the conclusion of our work, if you like.

I do create programs just for you and your CouchIssues™.
 
By the same token, there is a foundation that I work from given my background.

A large part of my profession as a Clinician is gathering information on a client/patient, developing a hypothesis,  supporting it, creating a case formulation and a plan of action to implement.
 
For that reason, this is a very personal experience and the plan is an original, like you and not used anywhere else.

It's a Couchissue

You know the feeling: self-sabotage, making the same mistakes repeatedly or things are stagnant in one or many parts of your life.

You've read some awesome self-help books, hired a high-energy person to motivate you and even spent some time in therapy.  It all helped but, it didn't stick.  So, now your issues number more than Vogue (I love that expression).

It's a Couchissue™ alright.  I grew up around them, experienced many and turned it into a profession (see About page).

Some of the issues that might fit how you feel can be (but not limited to):

Remember! The description of the schedule below is an idea only.  CouchIssues™ are unique, like you and so is the path to managing them.

We will work for 3 months / 12 weeks with your custom program. I will design it to include meetings via Zoom, email support, worksheets or other tools depending upon what I believe will help you to process what is going on in your life and how to manage it.  "Keep your strengths close and your weaknesses closer."

In addition, starting on week 3, I will pull a Tarot card which will serve to touch on any blind spot with its' imagery and, more importantly, what you see in it.  This can help you understand your experience in a new light.

Stage one - Weeks 1 - 4 - With the New Client Questionnaire™ that you filled out, we will do groundwork by going through your answers and listening to you about what comes up. 

Stage Two - Weeks 5 - 8 - We will be using different methods for you to really learn this path of yours.  These will be supportive, strategies and coping mechanisms, as an example.

Stage Three - Weeks 9 - 12 - Before we prepare for the end of our time together, we will put the puzzle pieces together to create a picture of the finished product by reviewing what has been learned.  On week 11, we will begin to terminate our work.  There could be anxious feelings surrounding endings that we will address.

Each week includes:
Your program details by the 2nd or 3rd week plus any other tools. to carry out your journey throughout this stage.

2 - Zoom Meetings (60 mins each).
3 - Support emails - The content of the emails need to pertain to what is being covered during that week.  You will be given an encrypted email to use.
 
2-3 days after our final session, you will receive a cheat sheet about the issues we addressed that you can refer to going forward.  I will also include insights I gather in a tarot reading (this is optional).
 
You also have 1 Zoom (60 mins) followup session that will be scheduled during our last session.

Depending on what we have worked on, you may have learned mastery over your issues so they don't intimidate you anymore.  You can sit with them and listen to their message. Now you can take what you need from them and leave the rest.  These feelings do not run your life - you do!

Let me lie down

The phrase is taken from my story on the Home Page about what is a Couchissue™. This is an issue/s that you need to contend with because it upends your peace of mind.  It could be a complicated situation that needs untangling or you just need extra time to sort it out and get a toehold.

In any event, it requires you to get into a Couchissue™ coping position and lie the hell down (really the only way to handle something).

So, you're off the Couch! Depending on what we have worked on, you may have a better understanding of who you are and who you don't have to be. You may have learned how to create your own path and not compare yourself to others.  You can stop any spirals to "doubtville" and feel like you are on solid ground.
